Raven Cart Automation™: Choose a Smoother Harvest

Raven Cart Automation makes it easier for any operator – at any skill level – to effectively run an unload on-the-go operation. When the grain cart driver is in range (within 70m / 229 feet) of the harvester, they can sync the cart’s direction and speed with the auger of the combine. This allows the combine operator to take control of bin positioning, ensuring a smooth harvest operation.

Instead of putting pressure on your harvest cart operators to run spill-free, operators can trust Raven Cart Automation to minimize grain spillage – maximizing profits. By reliably syncing guidance and propulsion, the solution reduces operator stress, reduces grain spills, and increases productivity in some cases, saving time and money.

Key Features

  • Minimizes grain spillage when unloading on-the-go, maximizing profits.
  • Increases field efficiency by reducing slow down events during the unload cycle in some cases.
  • Unload cycle time is as good or better than a professional grain cart operator.
  • Reduces stressful events for tractor (avg. -22%) and combine operators (avg. -33%) in small grain.
  • Reduces operator training time.
  • Uses local radio communication for more reliable sync between cart and combine.
  • Can sync up to six grain cart and combine systems in one operation

How Raven Cart Automation Works

Raven Cart Automation coordinates the path and speed of the tractor during an "unload on the go" operation. Once the tractor and harvester are in proximity, the tractor operator engages automatic steering and propulsion. Raven Cart Automation syncs grain cart with combine at distances up to 70 m (229 feet). This synchronizes the heading and speed of the tractor with the heading and speed of the combine, putting full control of the unload process in the hands of the combine operator.

Using the multifunction controller, the combine operator can nudge the grain cart forward or backward to fill the bin appropriately — no need to speed up or slow down to change sync position. Once the cart is full, the tractor operator can steer to disengage the sync and drive to the appropriate unload point.

Fill your Bin using Cart Remote to Control its Position

Controlling Raven Cart Automation is a breeze with customizable joystick and button control at the combine operator’s fingertips.

Reduce Accidents, Stress, and Spillage with Raven Cart Automation

Instead of dreading the stress of perfectly coordinating the tractor with the speed and position of the combine while also keeping an eye on field conditions, operators can have peace of mind with the push of a couple buttons as Raven Cart Automation takes care of steering and propulsion. When engaged, the cart automation technology automatically matches the tractor’s speed and positioning with the combine, ensuring the machines are working in perfect harmony without requiring communication between operators. Raven Cart Automation decreases grain spillage from miscommunication or imperfect unload coordination when manually unloading.

Using the Raven Autonomy™ tech stack, the Raven Cart Automation makes autonomy more accessible for operators at all experience levels, addressing the market’s limited availability of skilled labor by decreasing the level of training needed to operate like a pro. By reducing the likelihood of collisions and unnecessary spills at the unload point, Raven Cart Automation increases harvest unload reliability and enhance the confidence of less experienced equipment drivers.

“I’m not the best technology guru in the world by a long shot, but once I watch how to operate Raven Cart Automation, it was actually very operator friendly.” — Bob Biadasz, Farmer; Amherst, WI
